Al-nahl 6 of 16
And those that emigrated in God's cause after they were wronged -- We shall surely lodge them in this world in a goodly lodging, and the wage of the world to come is greater, did they but know; 41 They are those who bear with patience, and in their Lord they trust. 42 And We did not send before you any but men to whom We sent revelation-- so ask the followers of the Reminder if you do not know-- 43 [and they will tell you that their prophets, too, were but mortal men whom We had endowed] with all evidence of the truth and with books of divine wisdom. And upon thee [too] have We bestowed from on high this reminder, so that thou might make clear unto mankind all that has ever been thus bestowed upon them, and that they might take thought. 44 Do those who do evil feel secure that Allah will not make the earth to swallow them, or that the punishment will not fall upon them from where they do not know? 45 Or that He would not seize them during their [usual] activity, and they could not cause failure? 46 Or that He may not call them to account by a process of slow wastage - for thy Lord is indeed full of kindness and mercy. 47 And have they not observed that the shadows of the things Allah has created incline to the right and to the left, in prostration to Allah, and that they are servile? 48 Everything in the heavens and every crawling creature on earth, and the angels prostrate to Allah and they are not proud; 49 They fear their Lord above them, and they do what they are commanded. ۩ 50

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
