As for those who, after persecution, migrated from their homes for the cause of God, We will provide them with a goodly abode in this life: but truly the reward of the Hereafter will be greater, if they only knew it. 41 (It is they) who have exercised patience and trust in their Lord. 42 We never sent but men before you to whom We revealed, ask the people of the Remembrance, if you do not know. 43 [and they will tell you that their prophets, too, were but mortal men whom We had endowed] with all evidence of the truth and with books of divine wisdom. And upon thee [too] have We bestowed from on high this reminder, so that thou might make clear unto mankind all that has ever been thus bestowed upon them, and that they might take thought. 44 Do then those who devise evil plots feel secure that Allah will not sink them into the earth, or that the torment will not seize them from directions they perceive not? 45 or that He will not take them to task [suddenly] in the midst of their comings and goings, without their being able to elude [Him,] 46 Or He may seize them by diminishing their portion. Yet your Lord is compassionate and kind. 47 Have they not observed the things God has created, casting their shadows right and left, prostrating themselves before God in all humility? 48 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth, the cattle and the angels prostrate themselves before God without pride. 49 they fear their Lord above them, and do what they are commanded. ۩ 50
