۞ And Allah has proclaimed, “Do not ascribe two Gods; indeed He is the only One God; therefore fear Me alone.” 51 And whatever is in the heavens and the earth is His, and to Him should obedience be (rendered) constantly; will you then guard against other than (the punishment of) Allah? 52 Whatever bounties you have are from God. When hardship befalls you, you begin to cry out to Him. 53 When He saves you from the hardship, some of you start to believe in idols. 54 So they will deny what We have given them. Then enjoy yourselves, for you are going to know. 55 And they appoint a share of that We have provided them to what they know not. By God, you shall be questioned as to that you forged. 56 And they ascribe daughters to Allah, glory be to Him; and for themselves (they would have) what they desire. 57 When any of them is told about the birth of a female his face turns dark, and he is filled with suppressed anger, 58 And hides from people for shame at the news, (at a loss) whether he should keep her with shame, or bury her in the ground. How bad is the judgement that they make! 59 For those who do not believe in the hereafter is an evil attribute, and Allah's is the loftiest attribute; and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 60
