۞ And Allah hath said: take not two gods; He is only One God so Me alone, Me dread. 51 His is whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and obedience to Him inevitably pervades the whole universe. Will you, then, hold in awe any other than Allah? 52 Every bounty that you enjoy is from Allah; and whenever any misfortune strikes you, it is to Him that you cry for the removal of your distress. 53 And afterward, when He hath rid you of the misfortune, behold! a set of you attribute partners to their Lord, 54 In the end you will reject Our bounties. Enjoy yourselves; you will soon know (the consequences of your deeds). 55 And they appoint a share of that We have provided them to what they know not. By God, you shall be questioned as to that you forged. 56 And they assign unto Allah daughters - Be He Glorified! - and unto themselves what they desire; 57 And when one of them is informed of [the birth of] a female, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief. 58 They try to hide themselves from the people because of the disgrace of such news. Will they keep their new born despite the disgrace or bury it alive? How sinful is their Judgment! 59 Those who do not believe in the life to come are evil examples. To God belongs all the exalted attributes; He is the Majestic and the All-wise. 60
