Hizb 28
< random >
۞ Allah has commanded: "Do not take two gods; for He is but One God. So fear Me alone." 51 And to Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and in the earth, and obeying Him only is obligatory; so will you fear anyone other than Allah? 52 Whatever bounties you have are from God. When hardship befalls you, you begin to cry out to Him. 53 When He saves you from the hardship, some of you start to believe in idols. 54 So (as a result of that) they deny (with ungratefulness) that (Allah's Favours) which We have bestowed on them! Then enjoy yourselves (your short stay), but you will come to know (with regrets). 55 They set aside a portion of the food We have given them for those they do not know. By God, you will surely have to answer for all you contrive! 56 And they appoint for Allah daughters - hallowed be He! and for themselves that which they desire. 57 When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief! 58 He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment. 59 Those who believe not in the world to come, theirs is the evil likeness; God's is the loftiest likeness; He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. 60
