Al-nahl 7 of 16
۞ Allah has commanded: "Do not take two gods; for He is but One God. So fear Me alone." 51 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and earth; His is the religion for ever. Then will you fear other than God? 52 Whatever favor you have is from Allah. Whenever you are afflicted you groan to Him. 53 Then when He removes the adversity from you, at once a party of you associates others with their Lord 54 [as if] to prove their ingratitude for all that We have granted them! Enjoy, then, your [brief] life: but in time you will come to know [the truth]! 55 And they assign a portion of that which We have given them unto what they know not. By Allah! but ye will indeed be asked concerning (all) that ye used to invent. 56 They assign daughters to Allah - glory be to Him - whereas they assign to themselves what they truly desire! 57 When good news of the birth of a female is given to any of them, his face grows dark and inwardly he chokes. 58 With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it in the dust? Ah! what an evil (choice) they decide on? 59 Those who do not believe in the Hereafter deserve to be characterized with evil attributes whereas Allah's are the most excellent attributes. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 60
