۞ God says: 'Take not to you two gods. He is only One God; so have awe of Me.' 51 And whatever is in the heavens and the earth is His, and to Him should obedience be (rendered) constantly; will you then guard against other than (the punishment of) Allah? 52 Whatever favor you have is from Allah. Whenever you are afflicted you groan to Him. 53 Then, when He removes the affliction from you, lo, a party of you assign associates to their Lord, 54 So (as a result of that) they deny (with ungratefulness) that (Allah's Favours) which We have bestowed on them! Then enjoy yourselves (your short stay), but you will come to know (with regrets). 55 They set apart for those, whose reality they do not even know, a portion of the sustenance We have provided them. By Allah, you will surely be called to account for the lies that you have invented! 56 They ascribe daughters to God, God is too Exalted to have daughters, but they can have whatever they want. 57 When the birth of a girl is announced to any of them, his face darkens and he is filled with gloom. 58 He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment. 59 Those who do not believe in the Hereafter deserve to be characterized with evil attributes whereas Allah's are the most excellent attributes. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 60
