Surely, Abraham was a nation obedient unto God, a man of pure faith and no idolater, 120 Grateful for His favors; He chose him and guided him on the right path. 121 And We gave him good in this world, and in the next he will most surely be among the good. 122 Afterwards We revealed unto thee: follow thou the faith of Ibrahim the upright; and he was not of the associaters. 123 The Sabbath was only enjoined on those who differed about it. Your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection regarding the things about which they differed. 124 Call them to the path of your Lord with wisdom and words of good advice; and reason with them in the best way possible. Your Lord surely knows who strays from His path, and He knows those who are guided the right way. 125 Hence, if you have to respond to an attack [in argument,] respond only to the extent of the attack levelled against you; but to bear yourselves with patience is indeed far better for [you, since God is with] those who are patient in adversity. 126 Endure, then, with patience [all that they who deny the truth may say] - always remembering that it is none but God who gives thee the strength to endure adversity - and do not grieve over them, and neither be distressed by the false arguments which they devise: 127 Verily Allah is with those who fear and those who are well-doers. 128
