Lo! Abraham was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters; 120 [He was] grateful for His favors. Allah chose him and guided him to a straight path. 121 We gave goodness to him in this world, and in the Everlasting Life he shall be amongst the righteous. 122 And then We sent you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) the divine revelation that, “Follow the religion of Ibrahim, who was free from all falsehood; and was not a polytheist.” 123 As for the Sabbath, it was made incumbent only on those who differed about its laws. Certainly your Lord will judge on the Day of Resurrection between them regarding the matters they disputed. 124 Call towards the path of your Lord with sound planning and good advice, and debate with them in the best possible way; indeed your Lord well knows him who has strayed from His path, and He well knows the guided. 125 And if you mete out punishment, then punish similarly as you were afflicted; and if you patiently endure, then indeed patience is better for the patiently enduring. 126 Endure with patience; truly, your patience is possible only with the help of God. Do not grieve for them, or feel distressed because of their plottings, 127 For surely Allah is with those who hold Him in fear and do good. 128
