Al-Isra 3 of 12

۞ And your Lord has ordained that you do not worship anyone except Him, and treat your parents with kindness; if either of them or both reach old age in your presence, do not say “Uff”* to them and do not rebuff them, and speak to them with the utmost respect. (* Any expression of disgust.) 23 And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: "My Lord! bestow on them thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood." 24 Your Lord knows very well what is in your hearts if you are righteous, for He is All-forgiving to those who are penitent. 25 And give the kinsman his right, and the needy, and the traveller; and never squander; 26 Do not be a wasteful spender. Squanderers are the brothers of satan. Satan was faithless to his Lord. 27 But if you turn away from them to seek the Mercy of your Lord, hoping to attain it, then speak to them with gentle words. 28 Do not be niggardly, nor extravagant that you may later feel reprehensive and constrained. 29 Your Lord increases and determines the sustenance of whomever He wants. He is Well Aware and watches over His servants. 30
