(vii) Do not kill your children for fear of want. We will provide for them and for you. Surely killing them is a great sin. 31 Do not commit adultery, for it is an indecent thing and an evil course. 32 And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying; surely he is aided. 33 And do not touch the substance of an orphan, save to improve it, before he comes of age. And be true to every promise - for, verily, [on Judgment Day] you will be called to account for every promise which you have made! 34 Fill the measure when ye measure, and weigh with a right balance; that is meet, and better in the end. 35 And go not thou after that where of thou hast no knowledge verily the hearing and the sight and the heart, each of these shall be asked about. 36 And do not go about in the land exultingly, for you cannot cut through the earth nor reach the mountains in height. 37 All of that -- the wickedness of it is hateful in the sight of thy Lord has revealed to thee: 38 These are among the (precepts of) wisdom, which thy Lord has revealed to thee. Take not, with Allah, another object of worship, lest thou shouldst be thrown into Hell, blameworthy and rejected. 39 What, has your Lord favoured you with sons and has taken for Himself daughters from among the angels? You are indeed uttering a monstrous lie. 40
