Kill not your children for fear of want: We shall provide sustenance for them as well as for you. Verily the killing of them is a great sin. 31 And do not commit adultery - for, behold, it is an abomination and an evil way. 32 Do not take life which God has made inviolate -- except by right. If anyone is killed wrongfully, We have given authority to his heirs to demand retribution, but let them not transgress the prescribed limits in exacting retribution; for then he will be assisted [by the law]. 33 And do not approach the property of the orphan save in the fairest manner, until he is of age. And fulfil the covenant; surely the covenant shall be questioned of. 34 Fill the measure when ye measure, and weigh with a right balance; that is meet, and better in the end. 35 And never concern thyself with anything of which thou hast no knowledge: verily, [thy] hearing and sight and heart - all of them - will be called to account for it [on Judgment Day]! 36 Nor walk on the earth with insolence: for thou canst not rend the earth asunder, nor reach the mountains in height. 37 All this-- the evil of it-- is hateful in the sight of your Lord. 38 That is part of that wisdom which thy Lord hath revealed unto thee, and set not up thou along with Allah another god, lest thou be cast into Hell, reproved, rejected. 39 What! Has your Lord favored you with sons and taken to Himself females from among the angels? Indeed, you utter a monstrous thing! 40
