And certainly We have repeated (warnings) in this Quran that they may be mindful, but it does not add save to their aversion. 41 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “If there were other Gods besides Him” – as they utter – “then they would have certainly found a way towards* the Owner of the Throne!”. (* To fight against Him.) 42 Limitless is He in His glory, and sublimely, immeasurably exalted above anything that men may say [about Him] 43 The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [Allah] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving. 44 And when thou recitest the Qur'an, We set up between thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter a curtain drawn down. 45 And We put covers over their hearts and deafness in their ears that they should not understand it. So when you invoke your Lord alone in the Qur'an they turn their backs and walk away. 46 We know best why it is they listen, when they listen to thee; and when they meet in private conference, behold, the wicked say, "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched!" 47 Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way. 48 And [thus, too,] they say: "After we will have become bones and dust, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead in a new act of creation?" 49 (Muhammad), say "Yes, even if you become rocks, iron, 50 ۞ or some creation yet more monstrous in your minds!' Then they will say, 'Who will bring us back?' Say: 'He who originated you the first time.' Then they will shake their heads at thee, and they will say, 'When will it be?' Say: 'It is possible that it may be nigh, 51 The Day whereon He will call you, and ye will answer with His praise, and ye will imagine that ye had tarried but little. 52
