Al-Isra 8 of 12

Then think of the Day We shall summon every community with its leader. Those who are given their Record in their right hand shall read the Record of their deeds and shall not be wronged a whit. 71 And whoever is blind in this, he shall (also) be blind in the hereafter; and more erring from the way. 72 And their purpose was to tempt thee away from that which We had revealed unto thee, to substitute in our name something quite different; (in that case), behold! they would certainly have made thee (their) friend! 73 Had We not strengthened your faith you might have relied on them some how. 74 And if it were*, We would then have made you taste a double life and a double death – you would then not find any supporter against Us. (* Which is impossible.) 75 They very nearly provoked you to drive you out of the land, but they would have only lingered for a little while after you. 76 Such was Our way with those whom We sent before you. You shall find no change in Our way. 77
