[Mention, O Muhammad], the Day We will call forth every people with their record [of deeds]. Then whoever is given his record in his right hand - those will read their records, and injustice will not be done to them, [even] as much as a thread [inside the date seed]. 71 But whoso has been blind in this world shall be blind in the world to come, even farther astray from the path. 72 And indeed, they were about to tempt you away from that which We revealed to you in order to [make] you invent about Us something else; and then they would have taken you as a friend. 73 And had We not kept you steadfast, possibly you might have inclined to them just a little. 74 And if it were*, We would then have made you taste a double life and a double death – you would then not find any supporter against Us. (* Which is impossible.) 75 And surely they purposed to unsettle you from the land that they might expel you from it, and in that case they will not tarry behind you but a little. 76 Such was Our way with the messengers We sent before you, and you will find no change in Our ways. 77
