(Remember) the day when We will call every people with their Imam; then whoever is given his book in his right hand, these shall read their book; and they shall not be dealt with a whit unjustly. 71 But whoso has been blind in this world shall be blind in the world to come, even farther astray from the path. 72 And their purpose was to tempt thee away from that which We had revealed unto thee, to substitute in our name something quite different; (in that case), behold! they would certainly have made thee (their) friend! 73 And had it not been that We had already established you, you would certainly have been near to incline to them a little; 74 In that case We would have surely made thee taste the double of the tornment of the life and the double of the torment of death, and then thou wouldst not find against Us a helper. 75 They had nearly expelled you from the land and driven you away from it. But then, they too would have stayed but a little after you. 76 This has been Our way with the apostles whom We sent before you. You will not find any variation in Our line of action. 77
