Establish prayer at the decline of the sun [from its meridian] until the darkness of the night and [also] the Qur'an of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed. 78 And as for the night, keep vigil a part of it, as a work of supererogation for thee; it may be that thy Lord will raise thee up to a laudable station. 79 And say, "My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance and to exit a sound exit and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority." 80 And say: "The truth has now come [to light,] and falsehood has withered away: for, behold, all falsehood is bound to wither away!" 81 And We send down, of the Koran, that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers; and the unbelievers it increases not, except in loss. 82 When We are gracious to man he turns away and moves aside; yet when evil befalls him he begins to despair. 83 Say: "Each one acts according to his disposition, but your Lord knows well who follow the right path." 84
