They ask you about revelation. Say, revelation is by the command of your Lord, and that you have been given but little knowledge. 85 If We pleased We could take away what We have revealed to you. Then you will not find any one to plead for it with Us, 86 Except [We have left it with you] as a mercy from your Lord. Indeed, His favor upon you has ever been great. 87 Say: 'If men and jinn banded together to produce the like of this Koran, they would never produce its like, not though they backed one another.' 88 In this Quran, We have set out all kinds of examples for people, yet most of them persist in denying the truth. 89 They say: 'We will not believe in you until you make a spring gush from the earth for us, 90 or till thou possessest a garden of plants and vines, and thou makest rivers to gush forth abundantly all amongst it, 91 Or thou cause the heaven to fall upon us piecemeal, as thou hast pretended, or bring Allah and the angels as a warrant; 92 Or thou have a house of gold; or thou ascend up into heaven, and even then we will put no faith in thine ascension till thou bring down for us a book that we can read. Say (O Muhammad): My Lord be Glorified! Am I aught save a mortal messenger? 93
