They ask you about revelation. Say, revelation is by the command of your Lord, and that you have been given but little knowledge. 85 If We pleased We could take away what We have revealed to you. Then you will not find any one to plead for it with Us, 86 Except as a mercy from thy Lord verily His grace unto thee is ever great. 87 Say: "Surely if men and jinns get together to produce the like of this (Qur'an), they will not be able to produce the like of it, however they might assist one another. 88 And We have certainly diversified for the people in this Qur'an from every [kind] of example, but most of the people refused [anything] except disbelief. 89 They say: "We shall not believe in thee, until thou cause a spring to gush forth for us from the earth, 90 Or you should have a garden of palms and grapes in the midst of which you should cause rivers to flow forth, gushing out. 91 "Or thou cause the sky to fall in pieces, as thou sayest (will happen), against us; or thou bring Allah and the angels before (us) face to face: 92 Or you should have a house of gold, or you should ascend into heaven, and we will not believe in your ascending until you bring down to us a book which we may read. Say: Glory be to my Lord; am I aught but a mortal apostle? 93
