They ask you about the Spirit. Say, "The Spirit comes by the command of my Lord. You have been given very little knowledge. 85 If it were Our Will, We could take away that which We have sent thee by inspiration: then wouldst thou find none to plead thy affair in that matter as against Us,- 86 Except as a Mercy from your Lord. Verily! His Grace unto you (O Muhammad SAW) is ever great. 87 Say: 'If mankind and jinn combined together to produce the like of this Koran, they would never be able to produce one like it, not even if they were to help one another' 88 We have indeed turned about for men in this Koran every manner of similitude; yet most men refuse all but unbelief. 89 They have said, "We shall never believe you until you cause a spring to gush forth from the earth, 90 Or there be for thee a garden of date-palms and wine, and thou causest in the midst thereof rivers to gush forth. 91 Or thou causest the heaven to fall upon us, as thou assertest, in pieces, or thou bringest God and the angels face to face. 92 "Or you have a house of adornable materials (like silver and pure gold, etc.), or you ascend up into the sky, and even then we will put no faith in your ascension until you bring down for us a Book that we would read." Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Glorified (and Exalted) be my Lord (Allah) above all that evil they (polytheists) associate with Him! Am I anything but a man, sent as a Messenger?" 93
