They ask you about the Spirit. Say, "The Spirit comes by the command of my Lord. You have been given very little knowledge. 85 Had We willed, We could take away what We have revealed to you, then you would find none to help you in recovering it from Us. 86 except by the mercy of your Lord. He has certainly bestowed great favors on you. 87 Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support. 88 And certainly We have explained for men in this Quran every kind of similitude, but most men do not consent to aught but denying. 89 And say: "We will not believe you until you make a spring of water gush forth from the earth for us; 90 or you (show) us that you have your own garden of palm trees and vines with flowing streams therein, 91 Or you make the heaven fall upon us in fragments as you have claimed or you bring Allah and the angels before [us] 92 or (show us) that you have a well adorned house of your own, or climb into the sky. We shall never believe that you have climbed into the sky until you bring us a book that we can read." Say, "All glory belongs to my Lord. Am I more than a mortal Messenger?" 93
