The Cave (Al-Kahf)
110 verses, revealed in Mecca after Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah) before The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has sent down to His slave (Muhammad SAW) the Book (the Quran), and has not placed therein any crookedness. 1 an unerringly Straight Book, meant to warn of a stern punishment from Allah, and to proclaim, to those who believe and work righteous deeds, the tiding that theirs shall be a good reward 2 Wherein they will abide for ever; 3 and to warn those who say, 'God has taken to Himself a son'; 4 They have no knowledge of this, as their fathers did not have. How terrible are the words they utter! They speak nothing but lies. 5 Perhaps you may destroy yourself with grief if they do not believe in this message. 6 We have caused earthly things to seem attractive so that We can see who will excel in good deeds. 7 but We shall reduce all this to barren waste. 8 Or have you thought that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among Our signs, a wonder? 9 Behold, the youths betook themselves to the Cave: they said, "Our Lord! bestow on us Mercy from Thyself, and dispose of our affair for us in the right way!" 10 Then We caused them to fall into a deep sleep for many years inside the cave. 11 Then We raised them up that We might know which of the two parties was best able to compute the time for which they remained. 12

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
