The Pilgrimage is in months well-known; whoso undertakes the duty of Pilgrimage in them shall not go in to his womenfolk nor indulge in ungodliness and disputing in the Pilgrimage. Whatever good you do, God knows it. And take provision; but the best provision is godfearing, so fear you Me, men possessed of minds! 197 It is no sin for you that ye seek the bounty of your Lord (by trading). But, when ye press on in the multitude from 'Arafat, remember Allah by the sacred monument. Remember Him as He hath guided you, although before ye were of those astray. 198 Then depart from the place from where [all] the people depart and ask forgiveness of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 199 When you have finished the rites and ceremonies, remember God as you do your fathers, in fact with a greater devotion. There are some who say: "Give us, O Lord, in the world;" but they will forego their share in the life to come. 200 And of them (also) is he who saith: "Our Lord! Give unto us in the world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and guard us from the doom of Fire." 201 For such is a portion from what they have earned; and Allah is Swift At Taking Account. 202 ۞ Commemorate (the names of) God in the prescribed days. For one who observes piety, it is not a sin to be hasty or tardy during the two days. Have fear of God and know that before Him you will all be raised after death. 203 There are some people whose words about this life may please you. They say that God knows what they have in their hearts. But, in fact, they are the most quarrelsome opponents. 204 No sooner does he leave than he hastens about the earth to corrupt there and destroy crops and cattle. Allah does not love corruption. 205 When it is said to him, "Fear Allah", He is led by arrogance to (more) crime. Enough for him is Hell; An evil bed indeed (To lie on)! 206 And among men is one who sells himself to seek the pleasure of Allah; and Allah is Most Compassionate towards the bondmen. 207 O believers, come to full submission to God. Do not follow in the footsteps of Satan your acknowledged foe. 208 And if you renege, even after the clear commands have come to you, then know well that Allah is Almighty, Wise. 209 Do they await but that Allah should come to them in covers of clouds and the angels [as well] and the matter is [then] decided? And to Allah [all] matters are returned. 210
