For Hajj are the months well known. If any one undertakes that duty therein, Let there be no obscenity, nor wickedness, nor wrangling in the Hajj. And whatever good ye do, (be sure) Allah knoweth it. And take a provision (With you) for the journey, but the best of provisions is right conduct. So fear Me, o ye that are wise. 197 [However,] you will be committing no sin if [during the pilgrimage] you seek to obtain any bounty from your Sustainer. And when you surge downward in multitudes from 'Arafat, remember God at the holy place, and remember Him as the One who guided you after you had indeed been lost on your way; 198 Then surge on from where the people surge and ask Allah for forgiveness. He is Forgiving and the Most Merciful. 199 When you have performed the acts of worship prescribed for you, celebrate the praises of God as you celebrated the praises of your fathers, or even more fervently than that. There are some who say, "Our Lord, give us abundance in this world." These shall have no share in the world to come. 200 And of them (also) is he who saith: "Our Lord! Give unto us in the world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and guard us from the doom of Fire." 201 Such people shall have their due share (in both the worlds) according to what they earn. And Allah is swift at settling accounts. 202 ۞ So pass these few appointed days in remembering Allah; then there is nothing wrong if one hastens on (from Mina) after two days or stays there (a day) longer, " provided that he spends these days it piety. Do not disobey Him and remember that One Day you shall be mustered before Him. 203 And of mankind there is he whose speech may please you (O Muhammad SAW), in this worldly life, and he calls Allah to witness as to that which is in his heart, yet he is the most quarrelsome of the opponents. 204 When he turns away, he sets out to spread corruption in the land, destroying crops and cattle. God does not love corruption. 205 And when it is said to him, “Fear Allah”, he becomes more resolute in committing sin – therefore hell is sufficient for such; and that is indeed, a very wretched resting place. 206 On the other side, there is another type of man who devotes his whole life to please Allah, and Allah is gracious to such of His servants. 207 O Believers, enter completely into Islam and do not follow in the footsteps of Satan, for he is your avowed enemy. 208 And if you renege, even after the clear commands have come to you, then know well that Allah is Almighty, Wise. 209 Are they waiting for God to appear in the balconies of clouds with a host of angels, and the matter to be settled? But all things rest with God in the end. 210
