When Moses said to his (assisting) youth: 'I will not give up until I reach the point where the two seas meet even though I should go on for many years' 60 When they reached the confluence they forgot the fish (they had brought as food) which swiftly made its way into the sea. 61 When they had journeyed further on, Moses said to his servant: "Bring us our repast. We are surely fatigued by today's journey." 62 He said: Didst thou see, when we took refuge on the rock, and I forgot the fish - and none but Satan caused me to forget to mention it - it took its way into the waters by a marvel. 63 Moses said: "That was what we were seeking after:" So they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come). 64 And they found a servant from among Our servants to whom we had given mercy from us and had taught him from Us a [certain] knowledge. 65 Musa (Moses) said to him (Khidr) "May I follow you so that you teach me something of that knowledge (guidance and true path) which you have been taught (by Allah)?" 66 He replied, "You will not be able to have patience with me. 67 How canst thou bear with that whereof thou canst not compass any knowledge? 68 He (Moses) said: 'If Allah wills, you shall find me patient, I shall not disobey your order' 69 He said: "Well, if you follow me, do not ask me concerning anything until I myself mention it to you." 70
