Mary (Maryam)
98 verses, revealed in Mecca after Initiator (Faater) before T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Kaf-Ha-Ya-A’in-Sad. (* Alphabets of the Arabic language Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 This is an account of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah 2 When he called out his Lord (Allah) a call in secret, 3 "Lord, my bones have weakened and my head has turned hoary with age, but never, Lord, have I been disappointed in my prayer to you: 4 Lo! I fear my kinsfolk after me, since my wife is barren. Oh, give me from Thy presence a successor 5 to be my heir and to be the heir [of the blessings] of the House of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord, acceptable to you." 6 (His prayer was answered): "O Zakariya! We give thee good news of a son: His name shall be Yahya: on none by that name have We conferred distinction before." 7 "My Lord!" [said Zachariah], "How shall I have a son when my wife is barren and I have reached such extreme old age?" 8 Said He, 'So it shall be; thy Lord says, "Easy is that for Me, seeing that I created thee aforetime, when thou wast nothing."' 9 He said, “My Lord, give me a sign”; He said, “Your token is that you will not speak to people for three nights, although in proper health.” 10 So he came from the chamber to his people, and suggested to them (by signs) to sing the praises of the Lord morning and evening. 11 (And it was said unto his son): O John! Hold fast the Scripture. And we gave him wisdom when a child, 12 and tenderness from Us and purity, and he was cautious; 13 And dutiful towards his parents, and he was neither an arrogant nor disobedient (to Allah or to his parents). 14 So peace on him the day he was born, the day he will die, and the day that he will be raised from the dead. 15

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
