Why do you worship that which neither sees nor hears, and which can be of no avail to you? 42 O My father! verily there hath come to me of the knowledge which hath not come unto thee; so follow me, and I shall guide thee to a path even. 43 Father, do not worship satan; he has disobeyed the Beneficent God. 44 O my father! Lo! I fear lest a punishment from the Beneficent overtake thee so that thou become a comrade of the devil. 45 He answered: "Dost thou dislike my gods, O Abraham? Indeed, if thou desist not, I shall most certainly cause thee to be stoned to death! Now begone from me for good!" 46 He said, “Stop it peace be upon you; I shall seek forgiveness for you from my Lord; indeed He is very kind to me.” 47 And I renounce you and that unto which ye call beside Allah; and I shall call unto my Lord; belike in calling unto my Lord I shall not be unblest. 48 When (Abraham) rejected his people and what they worshipped instead of God, We gave him Isaac and Jacob and made both of them Prophets. 49 and We gave them of Our Mercy and We appointed to them a truthful, highly sincere tongue, 50
