Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 Will the human not remember that We created him before when he was not a thing? 67 So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees. 68 from every party We will pluck out whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the Most Merciful. 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 There is not one of you but shall pass by Hell. This is a decree which your Lord will fulfil. 71 Then, We will save those who were cautious of Us, but the harmdoers shall be left there hobbling on their knees. 72 And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve (the rich and strong among the pagans of Quraish who live a life of luxury) say to those who believe (the weak, poor companions of Prophet Muhammad SAW who have a hard life): "Which of the two groups (i.e. believers and disbelievers) is best in (point of) position and as regards station (place of council for consultation)." 73 And yet, how many a generation have We destroyed before their time - [people] who surpassed them in material power and in outward show! 74 Say, "The Gracious One grants respite for a time to those who are in error until, when they are confronted with what they are promised, either in punishment [in the world] or in [the approach of] the Hour, they will realize who is worse in respect of position and who is weaker in resources." 75 And God shall increase those who were guided in guidance; and the abiding things, the deeds of righteousness, are better with thy Lord in reward, and better in return 76 Have you seen him who rejected Our signs and said: "Surely I shall continue to be favoured with riches and children." 77 Has he seen the Hidden, or has he made a pact with the Most Gracious? 78 By no means! We shall write down that which he saith; and We shall lengthen for him of the torment a length. 79 And We shall inherit from him that whereof he spake, and he will come unto Us, alone (without his wealth and children). 80 They have sought honor from other gods instead of God. 81 Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them. 82
