And says man: What! when I am dead shall I truly be brought forth alive? 66 But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing? 67 And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell. 68 Then We shall pluck forth from every party whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the All-merciful; 69 And surely We are Best Aware of those most worthy to be burned therein. 70 Not one of you but will pass over it: this is, with thy Lord, a Decree which must be accomplished. 71 Then We shall save those who feared God, but the wrongdoers shall be left there on their knees. 72 And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Which of the two parties (yours or ours) is better in position, and more imposing as an army? 73 But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye? 74 (Muhammad), tell them, "The Beneficent God gives respite to those who have gone astray only until they face the torment with which they were threatened or to the Day of Judgment. Then they will find out who will have the most miserable place and the weakest forces. 75 And Allah increaseth in guidance those who let themselves be guided, and the righteous works that last are excellent with thy Lord in respect of reward and excellent in respect of return. 76 So have you seen him who denied Our signs and says, “I shall certainly be given wealth and children?” 77 Has he, perchance, attained to a realm which is beyond the reach of a created being's perception? or has he concluded a covenant with the Most Gracious? 78 Never; We shall now record what he says and give him a prolonged punishment. 79 To Us shall return all that he talks of and he shall appear before Us bare and alone. 80 For [such as] these have taken to worshipping deities other than God, hoping that they would be a [source of] strength for them. 81 Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them. 82
