WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 Does not man remember that We created him before this, and he was non existent? 67 By your Lord, We will gather them and the satans, and We shall parade them hobbling on their knees in Gehenna: 68 and thereupon We shall, indeed, draw forth from every group [of sinners] the ones that had been most determined in their disdainful rebellion against the Most Gracious: 69 Moreover, We well know those who most deserve to be burned in hell. 70 Not one of you there is, but he shall go down to it; that for thy Lord is a thing decreed, determined. 71 Then We shall deliver those who have feared, and shall have the wrong-doers therein kneeling. 72 When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, the Unbelievers say to those who believe, "Which of the two sides is best in point of position? Which makes the best show in council?" 73 How numerous are the peoples We destroyed before them - those that were more resourceful and grander in outward appearance! 74 Say, "The Gracious One grants respite for a time to those who are in error until, when they are confronted with what they are promised, either in punishment [in the world] or in [the approach of] the Hour, they will realize who is worse in respect of position and who is weaker in resources." 75 (On the contrary), Allah increases in guidance those who follow the Right Way. Lasting acts of righteousness are better in the sight of your Lord as reward and conducive to a better end. 76 So have you seen him who denied Our signs and says, “I shall certainly be given wealth and children?” 77 Has he obtained knowledge of the Unseen, or has he taken a covenant with the Most Compassionate Lord? 78 By no means! We write down what he says, and We will lengthen to him the length of the chastisement 79 and divest him of all that he is [now] speaking of: for [on Judgment Day] he will appear before Us in a lonely state. 80 And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory! 81 Indeed no! They will renounce their worship and turn against them. 82
