Do you not see that We have set the devils against the infidels to rouse and instigate them? 83 So do not be impatient for them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); We are only completing their number.* (* The number of days left for them or their evil deeds.) 84 On the day that We shall muster the godfearing to the All-merciful with pomp 85 And drive the guilty towards hell, thirsty. 86 They shall not control intercession, save he who has made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Assuredly, you have uttered a monstrous falsehood: 89 At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, 90 That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious. 91 It does not befit the Most Compassionate Lord that He should take a son. 92 Not one of all [the beings] that are in the heavens or on earth appears before the Most Gracious other than as a servant: 93 Verily He encompasses them and has counted them all. 94 Every one of them shall come to Him upon the Day of Resurrection, all alone. 95 To the righteously striving believers God will grant love. 96 We have therefore made this Qur’an easy upon your tongue, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) for you to announce glad tidings with it to those who fear, and warn those who are quarrelsome. 97 How many generations We have destroyed before them! Can you find a single one of them alive now, or hear so much as a whisper from them? 98
