Beholdest thou not that We have sent the satans upon the infidels inciting them by an incitement? 83 So take no hasty action against them; their days are numbered. 84 The day on which We will gather those who guard (against evil) to the Beneficent Allah to receive honors 85 And drive the guilty towards hell, thirsty. 86 None will have power to intercede for them except one who obtains a promise from Ar-Rahman. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 This is certainly a monstrous lie! 89 It is such a monstrosity that heavens might well-nigh burst forth at it, the earth might be cleaved, and the mountains fall 90 That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious. 91 It is not for the Merciful to take a son! 92 All those who are in the heavens and the earth will come to the Most Gracious as His bondmen. 93 Assuredly He hath comprehended them and counted them a full counting. 94 And each one of them will come before Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 Lo! those who believe and do good works, the Beneficent will appoint for them love. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 How many generations We have destroyed before them! Can you find a single one of them alive now, or hear so much as a whisper from them? 98
