Did you not see that We sent devils upon the disbelievers, so they excite them abundantly? 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only counting against them a counting. 84 On the day when We shall gather the righteous unto the Beneficent, a goodly company. 85 and We shall drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell. 86 They shall not own intercession, excepting those who have taken of the Compassionate a covenant. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing 89 Which would cleave the skies asunder, rend the earth, and split the mountains, 90 that they have attributed to the All-merciful a son; 91 For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son. 92 None is there in the heavens and earth but he comes to the All-merciful as a servant; 93 Verily He encompasses them and has counted them all. 94 Every one of them shall come to Him upon the Day of Resurrection, all alone. 95 Those who believe and do righteous deeds, the Merciful will assign for them love. 96 So We have made this (Qur'an) easy in your tongue that you may give good news to those who take heed, and warn the people who are contentious. 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Do you see any one of them or hear a sound of them? 98
