Seest thou not that We have set the devils on the disbelievers to confound them with confusion? 83 Hence, be not in haste [to call down God's punishment] upon them: for We but number the number of their days. 84 On the Day We will gather the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation 85 and drive those who were lost in sin unto hell as a thirsty herd is driven to a well 86 who have no power of intercession, except those who have taken a covenant with the Merciful. 87 They say, "The Gracious One has begotten a son." 88 Indeed, [by this assertion] you have brought forth something monstrous, 89 Well-nigh the heavens are rent thereat and the earth cleft in sunder and the mountains fall down in pieces. 90 because they ascribe a son to the Gracious One. 91 It is not for the Merciful to take a son! 92 Not one of all [the beings] that are in the heavens or on earth appears before the Most Gracious other than as a servant: 93 He knows their number and has counted each one of them. 94 And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment. 95 To the righteously striving believers God will grant love. 96 And We make (this Scripture) easy in thy tongue, (O Muhammad) only that thou mayst bear good tidings therewith unto those who ward off (evil), and warn therewith the froward folk. 97 And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound? 98
