T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
