T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
