T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
