T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
