T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Hence, let not anyone who does not believe in its coming and follows [but] his own desires divert thee from [belief in] it, lest thou perish! 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
