T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
