T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
