T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
