T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
