T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
