T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
