T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 And has the story of Musa come to you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
