T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
