T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
