T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
