T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
